There was a recent finding by the medical community that says that if you have obese friends, you will also become obese. Which brings me to this topic. The book talks about weight loss. It says that if you focus on losing weight, you will attract needing to lose weight. This is why all the Diet schemes don't work - you always concentrate on losing weight. Also, being overweight was brought about by negative thoughts about your body. Whether you were told you have a medical problem (e.g. slow thyroid, high bilirubin, etc.) or if it seems hereditary, the thoughts of being fat, will indeed bring about an overweight condition. Think instead of being your ideal weight or plain thin. Use the Creative Process as we've discussed to achieve this goal. ASK to be your ideal weight by writing it down on a piece of paper, by repeating it every time you can, or whatever works for you. BELIEVE you are losing weight, or becoming your ideal weight. Write down what you would like to weigh. Cut and paste a photograph of your ideal weight from you high school years or whenever, and put it along with your note, where you can see it every day. If you don't have a picture, cut one out of a magazine which shows how you would like to be. Don't shop for clothes your size or bigger, instead think about the size you would like to wear. Touch it, feel it, picture yourself in it. "Make it your intention to look for, admire, and inwardly praise people with your idea of perfect-weight bodies...If you see people who are overweight, do not observe them, but immediately switch your mind to the picture of you in your perfect body and feel it." RECEIVE by feeling good about yourself. Feel good about all your body today, how fortunate you are of having a body that can be molded to the size you want. By doing this, you will put yourself on a positive frequency which will then allow you to feel good about yourself, to place yourself on the frequency of losing weight, and you will be summoning perfection. To go back to the scientific research I mentioned in the beginning of this post. It makes sense that friends of obese people become obese themselves. All they see is their friend(s) who are obese, and they get those thoughts, and they begin to manifest on themselves. I'm not saying that having obese friends is bad, but thinking obese thoughts appears to be bad for your own health - according to the Law of Attraction as described in The Secret. By the way, the USA leads other industrialized countries in the obese population category.

Thanks for a great article...i just had a question and i hope you can help me. I am currently struggling with maintaining my weight and have had binge eating disorder for the past 6 years and my weight has been going up and down ever since. I have tried to apply the law of attraction and declare that i can eat whatever i want and not gain weight but i ended up gaining weight. I was thinking positively and feeling good about myself. I was doing everything the law of attraction is about, i've even created a vision board. I was trying so hard to be focused but when i began gaining weight i felt like may be there was something i was not doing right. Can you really eat whatever you want and not gain weight? or is it by using the law of attraction you are actually meant to attract the will power to help control your eating?
Hi, thanks for reading my blog. Here is a response from my brother (Claro Cruz)who has read more on the topic. "Yes you can, you can eat whatever you want and not gain weight, but only if YOU truly believe it. When you think of something in your past you are Focusing Energy, when you think of something in your present you are Focusing Energy, and when you think of something in the future you are Focusing Energy. Your desires and wishes, especially if you are not used to putting the Law of Attraction into practice, will take time to manifest because you have to focus your energy solely in what you want. There is no fixed table or chart where we can see how long it takes for wishes to manifest. It all depends on how in sync you are with that which you desire. There are different tricks you can apply to realign your focus, here's one:
This process will help you focus your energy to what you want. Make a large circle on a paper.. then draw a smaller circle in the center of the large circle. Draw 12 lines around the large circle, similar to a clock on a wall. In the smaller circle write clearly what your goal is for example " I feel fat and i want to feel slender". focus on that small circle with your goal (relax while doing this). Then afer 10 min look at the outside circle and on each line you drew your goal is to put positive thoughts of your goal, the statements have to FEEL GOOD to YOU. Don't put thoughts that you think you should write, put thoughts that make you FEEL good. Populate all 12 lines. For example, if on your first line you write ' I feel good about myself' and you dont feel it dont write it down.. once you think of somthing that does make you feel good write it down. for example.."I like feeling good about myself",or " I dont have to accomplish this in one day" etc.. .this will be like trial and error until you populate all 12 lines and by the time you complete this task your vibration will be matching your goal. If for any reason you cant do this or you dont feel good while doing this, then stop and do it at a later time. The more in vibrational sync you are with what you want, the more you are allowing those things that you're wanting, and the less resistance there is. And the less resistance there is, then the less delay between the idea of the thought and the receiving of it. "
